Mouseflow appoints new CEO – founder to move into CTO role

Today, Mouseflow, a fast-growing SaaS platform for website analytics, welcomes Mikkel Wakefield as the company’s new CEO. Mouseflow has had double-digit growth under the founder’s leadership and is now moving into the next growth phase. With Mikkel Wakefield taking over the company will strengthen its commercial focus and efforts to continue their global expansion.

Since 2009 when Mouseflow was established by Lasse Schou the company has grown to serve more than 150,000 businesses worldwide. The next important journey for Mouseflow is to establish a scalable foundation for growth and to expand the reach worldwide. 

Mouseflow is an important analytics asset for many companies who want to capitalize on their online investment. With Mouseflow companies can understand full visitor journeys and experience on their websites and increase the capitalization of their on-line appearance. Mouseflow is used by enterprises like Ford, Nintendo, Carnival and many more to gain important insights about their website visitors’ journey and conversions.

The change of leadership will enable Lasse Schou, the founder of Mouseflow, to move into a dedicated CTO role with an increased focus on developing Mouseflow’s product platform as the market leader for qualitative website analytics.

Mikkel Wakefield, as the new CEO, will strengthen Mouseflow’s customer-centric focus and will continue to build a customer service organization with a customer-first approach. Mikkel Wakefield adds significant experience from running international and high-performing teams with extensive customer experience focus.

About Mikkel Wakefield

Mikkel Wakefield, Master of Science, IMM from Copenhagen Business School has previously been CEO of Missionpharma and Global Sales Director at Kruuse, a company owned by Covetrus who was listed on NASDAQ earlier this year. Mikkel will be based out of Mouseflow’s Copenhagen headquarters and will be working closely together with the Mouseflow team in Austin, Texas.
